Comrade Awokoya Oriyomi has admonished Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast in the future and progress of the country.

He made the call in a message to felicitate the government and people as Nigeria celebrates its 62nd Independence Anniversary, adding that the sacrifices of our heroes past will not be in vain.

Mr. Awokoya, who is the coordinator of Asiwaju Focus Noni Support Group, 
also charged Nigerians to be patriotic, upright and feel fortunate to be citizens of the country.

"Today we are celebrating this glorious day because we had freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for their dream of an independent Nigeria."

Let us not be proud of being a Nigerian just on Independence Day, but let us feel fortunate to be born in this rich country every day. "Wishing you a very warm and happy Independence Day," he said.

The Alimosho leader also used the opportunity to congratulate Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), on her conferment as an officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said: "I also want to use the opportunity to say a very big congratulations to our leader on her national honor as an Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic."

"I am so proud of you and all of your successes. Your hard work and dedication have paid off and made me smile. You are a great leader and support for the team, with zeal for your job and passion for what you do", Comrade Awokoya stated in the message.
