Hide Online Status:

The company is currently working on the ability to hide the online status for a future update of the app which some users have been asking for a long time. The feature will allow users to set who can see when they are online on the chat app.

You’ll have the option of choosing any of these options: “Everyone” and “Same as Last Seen”. For example, if you choose “My contacts” for “Last Seen” and “Same as Last Seen” for “online”, it means non-contacts won’t be able to see when you’re online.

The feature is still currently under development and will be communicated to you when it will be available for Android and iOS users.

New Time Limit:

WhatsApp is rolling out new time limit to delete message for everyone to every users according to the latest report… The previous limit was 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds. We just tried to delete a message sent yesterday and it worked “.

We can also confirm that the new time limit is really 2 days and 12 hours, the same one that was planned during the development of the feature.

Delete Any Message in The Group:

WhatsApp is also working on the ability to delete any message in the group if you are an admin. Though at the moment there is no time frame when the feature will roll out.

New Context Menu:

After releasing an update that brings the ability to pause and resume voice notes thanks to a new interface, WhatsApp is now pushing another update for Windows beta on the Microsoft Store that offers a redesigned context menu to beta testers.

The redesigned context menu shows up when you select a text in the chat text field. It also offers quick redesigned shortcuts to format the text such as bold, italic, and strikethrough.

More updates are coming, but we’ll stop here for now.
