In a vibrant initiative to rejuvenate and honor the diverse tapestry of African art and culture, Itunnu Owolaju, the visionary CEO of ITOUCH Collectibles, recently orchestrated an unforgettable gathering.
This event, which seamlessly brought together enthusiasts, artists, and cultural ambassadors, unfolded at the Resonance Lounge in Jericho, Ibadan.
The spirited presence of Kegites, renowned for their infectious gyrations, injected dynamic energy, transforming the occasion into more than just a hangout. It evolved into a celebration of identity and a testimony to the enduring resilience of African art and culture.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the gathering, Owolaju said, "A few days ago, I felt the urge to dance, to revel in our culture. I understand that many are no longer actively engaging with African culture. So, the idea blossomed to bring people together in a joyous celebration."
"My team and I diligently reached out, ensuring the assembly of drums and chairs and securing a suitable venue. We curated an experience complete with drinks, groundnuts, chin chin, and meat."
Under the banner of ITouch and Friends, Owolaju, as the convener, outlined the commitment to cultural preservation and rejuvenation. He expressed the sheer joy derived from 17 years of actively contributing to the vibrancy of the African dream.
