The group urged the national body to work with him and provide needed support in the interest of the party and all the APC support groups.

In his acceptance speech, Comr. Awokoya Oriyomi Yusuf, widely recognized as Focus Noni and currently holding the position of Director General at Asiwaju Focus Noni, conveyed his profound gratitude to the National Working Committee (NWC) and the amalgamated APC Support Groups for bestowing their trust upon him.

According to him, these support groups' unwavering commitment and dedication during the recent national and state elections played a critical role in contributing to the party's success.

The statement read in part, “I am honored and privileged to take the floor before the NWC on the occasion of my appointment as National Chairman of the Amalgamated Restructuring Committee for the Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria, both at home and abroad. First of all, I sincerely thank the NWC and all the members of the amalgamated APC Support Groups who have put their trust in me by selecting me to perform the duties of Chairman of the Restructuring Committee.

“Let me seize this opportunity to pay tribute to the very important and exceptional role played by all the support groups during the just concluded national and state elections for the success of our great party, the All Progressive Congress.

“My full participation in its work, from Congress, consultation, Party Primary, campaign, and election processes of our President, H.E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has helped enrich my experience and align with the project's ideas, leadership, community development, and the great goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda. The unflinching support I enjoyed during the period I served under the Presidential Campaign Council undoubtedly helped spur me on to my present mission. I am deeply indebted to all of you for this.”

He highlighted the challenges facing the amalgamated APC support groups during and after the elections, stating that “I am aware of the scale and gravity of transparency, coordination, unity, and marginalization problems in the amalgamated APC support groups during and after the election. These issues are often linked to development concerns, particularly the divided house.

“Challenges are reflected chiefly in the mismanagement of resources, unequal distribution and zoning in the past, and the reduction in the expectancy of election results, which the newly elected national office is working diligently on. The eradication of selfish individuals and promoting unity is a goal for which the body is mobilizing all efforts with the help of its partners.

“Other challenges will be addressed as soon as the committee starts working fully with the Party, especially with regard to the availability and management of human, financial, and technological resources.

“Furthermore, the need for sustained policy dialogue and more enduring partnerships are challenges that we must meet if we are to strengthen institutional, human, and community capacities. Only this will improve the party's performance in subsequent elections. It is important to recognize the efforts already being made and to underscore the need to pursue unity and consolidate them.”

Awokoya further provided an assurance that the contributions of support groups would be valued and respected, ultimately leading to the strengthening of the party as a whole.

“Please note, Sir/Ma, under my chairmanship, no support group will be humiliated, persecuted, or extorted. We shall make nomination forms available by any means free of charge for every interested support group leader. We have all spent a lot during the election process to get to this stage; we should not, by any means, extort money in the name of organizing.

“All forms will be available anytime from now for all the group leaders that are interested in one position or another, free of charge. There will be no discrimination or dictatorship.

“We also distance ourselves from anyone who, in the name of AASG, scams our precious members of their resources. Every member shall have the right to speak without being removed. We shall try as much as possible to carry everybody along, and I am also ready to listen while having an open-door policy,” he concluded.
