The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) has announced the 21st Chief S.L. Edu Memorial Lecture, with the theme "Humanity and the Twin Crises of Climate Change and Biodiversity Loss."

In a statement made available to ITSALLISAY, this event, held annually, is organized by the NCF in partnership with the Family of Late Chief S.L. Edu and Chevron Nigeria Limited.


The Memorial Lecture has become a renowned platform for environmental experts, policymakers, researchers, sustainability stakeholders, and the general public to discuss pressing environmental issues and potential solutions. 


This year's guest speaker is Mr. Martin Harper, the Acting CEO of BirdLife International, a leading global conservation organization.


The lecture will take place on Tuesday, 9th May 2023, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 11:00 am. 


The audience will include diplomats, traditional rulers, researchers, government representatives, local and international press, environmental and sustainability stakeholders, among others.


The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
