Corp Member Renovates 20-Year-Old Dilapidated Health Care Center, Receives Chieftaincy Title


A trailblazing experience for NYSC Plateau state as one of their corps member amongst thousands of corps members in the country was conferred a chieftaincy title by The district Head of Rantya/khagan community  DA PAM GYANG PWOL (DAGWOM RANTYA)  of over thousands residents.

This was said to be possible because  the corps member with the name Alabi Olabode facilitated the renovation of the  dilapidated Primary Health Care Rantya which has been in a state of moribund for over 20 years


DA Pam Gyang Pwol, The paramount Ruler of the Community and the head of the district chiefs, in his opening speech appreciated the corps member for his timely intervention, and great patriotism towards ensuring the most pressing and important need of the community is met.


According to him, "The only government facility in the community was completely renovated, and this in turns we desire to appreciate the corps member's intervention and the entire NYSC plateau state, by giving him a chieftaincy title as the GWOM SELE of RANTYA that is translated as Chief Philanthropist of Rantya".

The state Coordinator NYSC PLATEAU STATE Mrs Rifkatu Daniel in her address appreciated the community head, chiefs and the entire community over the special recognition of the humanitarian adventures of Alabi Olabode



According to her, "It is a honor on the entire Scheme and it will help to further fulfil the aims of the scheme and strengthen the collaborations of the scheme, according to her she said that is the first to happen in the Metropolitan city of Jos and  at such the scheme is grateful to the community."


"This will further encourage corps members active participation in the community development services."


In addition the corps member was also said to have empowered the indigent pupils of Barkin Acha Primary Schools, Calvary Mission Primary school and RCM Zaramangada primary schools with  enough exercise books, novels and pens after which he was notable for his Radio and offline peace campaign sensitization and advocacy targeted at preempting any forms of electoral violence on the plateau.


The corps member was well coronated with the chieftaincy attires and was presented the certificate of conferment of the title by the community head and the state coordinator NYSC plateau state


The corps member appreciated the community heads and the state coordinator NYSC plateau state Mrs Rifkatu Daniel for her commitment to ensuring the betterment of the Nation's youth, her readiness and matchless contributions to the forwardness of the scheme.


In attendance were the assistant Directors to the NYSC Plateau State Coordinator, PRU, the state coordinator's entourage, the council chiefs, community persons and corps members.
