The event, themed: "2023 Elections, Reshaping Nigeria's Future", is aimed at providing a foundation and framework for the re-awakening of young people and their reintegration into governance through discussion of issues of public interest.

Speaking on the upcoming public forum, one of the 2022 Directors of the Tunde Oshobi Public Forum (TOPF), Waheed Ojo, said that the event is designed around the general theme of leadership and management since good governance forms the cornerstone of any great country.

He stated that TOPF was born out of the values of Junior Chamber International (JCI) with a desire to ameliorate the dearth of seasoned contributions to topical issues by informed people in various fields of human endeavor.

According to Ojo, “ It is important that, for an actual representation of the TOPF, we understand what JCI stands for because the significance of TOPF and the JCI values are mutually tied."

"JCI is an organization that is committed to providing developmental opportunities for young people to make positive changes within their communities and for themselves.”

Mr. Ojo said that he hoped to see the most pressing issue in Nigeria, which is the 2023 election, being discussed with clear definitions of the roles and responsibilities of Nigerians towards repositioning our country for good in 2023 and beyond.

The director also noted that the most cherished vision for TOPF this year is to make the event a national event.

“I am glad that my team and I have been able to secure media partnerships with big media companies like PotTV, UISU TV, NAAS TV, Campus Verve, and itsallisay.com, amongst others,” he said.

The public forum, scheduled to be held on October 12, 2022, will take place at the Dilay Consult Event Centre, Bodija, Ibadan.
