Bolder and safer, the 2021 edition of the YCA Summit will address Africa’s post pandemic socio-economic setting and the roles of Africa’s youth, governments, private sector and development partners in collectively rebuilding better and stronger.
Hosted by the Government of Ghana from October 20th to 22nd, 2021 at the Accra International Conference Center, under the theme: "Africa Beyond Aid: Positioning the Youth for the Post COVID Economy and AfCFTA Opportunities."
Considering the importance and impact of AfCFTA on regional economies, phenomenal potential for intra-continental trade, and opportunities to access new markets, this year’s summit will engage constructively to connect Africa’s 226 million youth demographic as the biggest stakeholder in this trade deal.
We are committed to creating an inclusive platform that will synergize cooperation between youth, policy makers, public, private, and development sector institutions by co-designing and accelerating the youth empowerment agenda at the continental level.
The event will offer, over three days, a combination of informative, high-level plenaries, panel discussions, keynote speeches, small group workshops, research presentations, project pitching, awards, off-site activities, learning visits, exhibition, and cultural events.
