This move is in a bid to curb fake information being spread on its messaging app.

WhatsApp had earlier in July reduced the number of chats where a message can be forwarded at a time to 20.

WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp has further restricted forwarding of messages globally from 20 to 5 users, an update it says was only available in India.

The update will be available in all countries and takes effect as soon as you upgrade your WhatsApp to the latest version.

Do you think this move by WhatsApp can stop the rate at which wrong information and rumors are being peddled on its platform?
