The Africa Start-Up Summit in partnership with Disrupt Africa will bring together stakeholders in the tech space across the continent to explore opportunities and challenges within the ecosystem, while showcasing investment opportunities.

The focus of the track will be on encouraging collaboration, with the aim of furthering the development of Africa’s vibrant entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem while connecting investors, corporates and startups.

  • Creative Summit
The Creative Summit will deliver spirited discussion and inspiration from creative innovators, thought leaders, and experts. This track will bring together key makers, marketers, communicators and creators who make content in a variety mediums and industries, for an itinerary of dynamic sessions.

Start-up Rates


Africa Tech Summit welcomes all start-ups to attend with reduced startup rates covering the entire three days, conference sessions, workshops networking events and after party. 

There is also a dedicated startup expo packages with space and delegate passes, to showcase relevant products and services to over 400 delegates in the expo hall.

Looking for funding, or the right partner to help your venture scale? 

Want to showcase your solution to the top investors, corporates, innovators and advisors in Africa and beyond? 

ELIGIBILITY to PITCH

  • Startups must be African (have at least one African co-founder or headquartered in Africa); 
  • Less than five years old; 
  • Have at least a MVP ideally with existing traction; 
  • Have raised less than $1 million in external funding; and 
  • Have a current “ask”.

While applications are open to African tech startups hoping to Pitch Live on the main stage at the Africa Startup Summit 2019 in Kigali:

  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling-basis.
  • Only successful applicants will be contacted.
  • All applicants must be able to present in person at Africa Startup Summit in Kigali on February 13-15. 2019.
  • Travel and accommodation covered by startups.
