Sad: Cultists Axe 3 People To Death In Ogun State

Three persons have been killed in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State as rival cult groups – Aiye (Black Axe) and Eiye (Bird) clashed. One person was killed Friday night while the other two were killed early Saturday morning. The clash resulted when the Eiye group stormed Ita Alapo area of Ijebu Ode Friday night to kill one Tolu Adam, while in a reprisal attack yesterday morning, the Aiye group killed two people.



One was killed in Moslem Primary School 1, Isoku, along Ondo road, Ijebu Ode while the other one was killed in front of the State mortuary along Omo Owe road. However, an eyewitness who gave account of the clash, told journalists that Adam was killed in front of his father’s house.

According to the witness, “what is happening now is getting out of hand and government needs to act fast, else, what we experienced during the last regime may happen again.”

In a reprisal attack on Saturday, the Aiye cult group stormed Moslem Primary School 1, Isoku, along Ondo road, Ijebu Ode, where weekend football game was being played and killed one Eiye cult member, identified as Murphy.

Meanwhile, the Aiye cult boys reconvened again, traced another Eiye member to the mortuary, where he had gone to see the corpse of his friend, and he was also killed.
