According to a report by The Guardian, A 20-year-old photographer has died in a moped crash in Cyprus. James Haggerty, from
Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, is understood to have been working at
several nightclubs and beach parties in the resort of Ayia Napa. The moped he was riding hit a bus at a junction on Tuesday morning. A woman
passenger, reported to be his Swedish girlfriend, Mariel Tamblay, was taken to
Nicosia general hospital in a critical condition.
The Famagusta Gazette reported that the 56-year-old bus driver was treated
for shock.
Friends paid tribute to the Salford University student on Twitter.
