The Asiwaju Coalition of Yoruba Youths (ACYY), has expressed shock and sorrow over the passing of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olalekan Mohood Ishola Alli Balogun Okunmade 11.

The group in a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Comrade Ayinde Abduljaleel, described the passing of Oba Olalekan Balogun as a great loss to the Yoruba race. 


Ayinde stated that Oba Balogun was a great traditional ruler who was dedicated to upholding the culture and heritage of the Yoruba people. He said the late monarch worked tirelessly to promote peace and unity within the Yoruba community. 


“On behalf of the Asiwaju coalition of Yoruba Youths, we extend our deepest sympathies to the family and the people of Ibadan on the passing of Olubadan, Oba Olalekan Moshood Ishola Alli Balogun Okunmade 11. 


Our hearts are heavy with sorrow as we mourn the loss of a great leader and icon in the Yoruba community. May his memory be a blessing and may his legacy live on in the hearts of all who knew him. 


Our thoughts and prayers are with the royal family and the people of Ibadan during this difficult time.”
