This significant initiative aims to spark transformative growth in Ibadan’s tech scene and the broader Southwest region.


According to a statement by the organisers, the three-day event is scheduled for November 9-11. The event-themed “The Connected Eco-system,” is set to be a hub of activity, featuring an array of engaging programs.


‘These include the highly anticipated Pitchathon, Hackathon, Networking session, Job Fair, Internship Fair, and an exclusive Investors Masterclass aimed at enlightening local investors on the nuances of tech investment,” it said.


David Adeleke, convener of the Ibadan StartUp Fest said, “The Ibadan StartUp Fest is about more than just tech; it’s about the people, the passion, and the potential of our region. With the Ibadan StartUp Fund and the Investor’s Masterclass, we’re opening new doors for innovation.”

However, the Ibadan Startup Fund which is a milestone for the region represents funding for building a tech ecosystem that will provide financial support that could serve as a catalyst for the development and implementation of tech solutions.


“With this initiative, local startups in Ibadan and the surrounding Southwest region are poised to translate their innovative ideas into tangible solutions that could revolutionize the local tech scene,” it said.


The event features an illustrious lineup of industry thought leaders, including the likes of Iyin Aboyeji, Co-Founder of Future Africa, Flutterwave, and Andela; Kola Aina, Founding Partner of Ventures Platform; Ojimaojo Udale, Head of Engineering at PiggyVest; David Adeleke, Founder and CEO of Zeeh Africa; Olasehinde Oluwatosin, Founder of Money Africa and Ladda; Satoshi Shinada, Partner at Verod Capital; Temidayo Oniosun, Managing Director of Space in Africa, and Akinwale Alao, Partner at KPMG.
